With 20+ years of accounting experience, Anita founded Purewal + Co with a vision to advance the field of Public Accounting by providing incomparable excellence in client service.
Anita started her professional career as an auditor at the “Big Four” firm Deloitte & Touche, focusing on privately held entities. After earning her attest experience, her passion for tax law led her to the firm’s tax department. Going on two decades of professional experience, Anita has supported and advanced an array of clients, opting to specialize in tax and accounting needs of closely held business entities, individuals, trusts and estates. She maintains a full CPA license to practice in Taxation, Financial Statement & Attest Services. Anita holds both an MBA in Taxation, summa cum laude and a Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, cum laude from her hometown California State University, Sacramento.
She has aided clients in a variety of industries including construction, real estate, law and professional services, medical professionals, restaurants and hospitality, alternative investments and independent contractors. As a skilled communicator, she finds the greatest satisfaction in expressing tax strategies in layman’s terms and guiding clients to achieve their financial, tax and accounting goals. She is dedicated to ensuring each and every client’s needs are met and expectations exceeded.
Anita also enjoys staying active in the community and has been an accounting professor for students in their first year of undergrad to doctoral candidates. She has served as a member of CalCPA, AICPA, the San Francisco and Placer County Estate Planning Councils, and Mensa. She is an avid runner and dog lover.
As a highly skilled professional Kyle brings with him a broad wealth of knowledge spanning both the public and private sectors. His accounting career began nearly 15 years ago in his home state of Illinois where he earned his graduate degree in Fiscal Administration and undergraduate degree in Political Science. Seeking the opportunity to provide further accounting counsel to philanthropic organizations and entrepreneurs, Kyle moved to the Bay Area in 2013 where he has continued to be recognized for delivering exceptional expertise and service.
Kyle provides all-inclusive financial and accounting services from an inimitable and deft perspective. His proficiency reaches beyond financial reporting in accordance with GAAP to governmental compliance reporting including Returns of Organizations Exempt from Income Tax. He relishes problem solving and has successfully aided numerous for profit and non-profit clients with ERP and accounting software integration and migration, the setup and organization of accounting records and management consulting, in addition to program budgeting and audit preparation and support. Kyle has consulted for entities in industries that range from for-profits in biotechnology, property management and software to non-profits supporting social justice, environmental causes, arts, and education. With his approachable demeanor and sense of humor, Kyle is viewed as an indispensable resource to his clients and colleagues alike.
Outside of work, Kyle is actively involved in his community. He has consulted for organizations including San Francisco’s Mission Cultural Center and Jewish Vocational Service and currently serves as Treasurer for St. Francis Living Room. He is also an ardent soccer player who enjoys traveling and is a keen chess enthusiast.
With two decades of experience in tax and accounting, Wendy is an adept professional practiced in addressing a multitude of client needs from individual, entity and trust income tax returns to non-profit entities. She has a comprehensive background that encompasses accounting and tax. Wendy has served as Treasurer and Director of the Asian Real Estate Association of America and as an outsourced CFO for clients domestically and abroad. Her approach is holistic in addressing not only financial and income tax needs, but also sales, payroll, property and additional tax and reporting compliance items.
Wendy’s clients entrust her with their most critical financial needs and confidential information. She is responsible for functions ranging from banking and international wire transfers to ad-hoc management of in-house accounting staff. She is a highly valued professional known for her accuracy, and thoroughness. Her understanding of business beyond the numbers is distinct and appreciated by all who work with her.
Wendy is based out of El Dorado Hills. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from California State University Sacramento and her CPA license shortly after graduation. She is an active member of the community and participates in a variety of professional and charitable organizations. She enjoys teaching early morning Tai Chi, traveling and spending time with her family.
Kim is based in our Walnut Creek office and brings 30 years of relationship management to Purewal + Co. Her decades of experience in Accounting and Tax coupled with her background as a business owner give her an apprised perspective and understanding of client needs. Kim skillfully manages administrative duties and client relations while embodying the firm’s core value of excellence in client service. She works closely with both our business and individual clients to ensure efficient management of inquiries, consultations, and timely access to professionals, as necessary.
Kim assists in the development and implementation of firm policies and procedures and she manages programs and practices within the firm. She oversees client billing and maintains Accounts Payable and Receivables. She prides herself on her honesty, integrity and work ethic, and her contributions to the firm prove invaluable to both our team and our clients.
As a native to the Bay Area, Kim maintains deep roots in the community. When away from the office she can often be found at her family owned and operated pizza restaurant. In her leisure time, she enjoys activities with her husband and daughter, who is currently attending college. Kim is an animal lover, avid photographer, and Disney enthusiast
